Located at around 18 Kms from Varanasi on the route to Chunar fort, Betwar is a wonderful lush green village where you can see organic farming being practiced. It also has got a home stay right in the mid of farm lands with no neighbours. Its serene, scenic and a great place to enjoy village life. You can walk around to Ganges as it is only 700 metres away from the Home stay. The dairy farming, vegetables garden, flower gardens, farmers and peace, you will find everything here in the same premise. Enjoy learning yoga, cooking local food, playing local sports, riding  a boat in Ganges, kite flying, farming, dairy farming, making cow dung cakes, pickles, local art & craft and many more activities which will give you a learning experience by the time tour ends. Itinerary:

Day 0 Leave from Delhi at  10pm via Train, Reach Kathgodam at 05 am by train from Delhi.

Day. 1 – Have breakfast and leave for Chakauri (190KMS from kathgodam). Reach the village by Lunch time. Check-in to Hotel and meet your Local village host. Have lunch and begin to explore the Himalayan beauty of Chakauri. Get acclimatized and rest for the night.

Day 2 – Have an early start of your day and with your Tour Leader proceed to reach your Host’s house for Local and organically produced breakfast. Our host runs a small primary school and a homestay in Chakauri and supports his family from agricultural activity. After breakfast visit the Patal Bhuvneshwar caves. Walk the 14th century caves depicting stories of Yagas, Shiva, Pandavas, Sagar Manthan on the sacred walls of limestone with water running through crevices and pores and falling on Shiv lingas attached to the ground. Have Lunch and come back to your hotel. Rest for the night.

Day 3 – Have breakfast at the hotel and leave for Khaliya top trek. At 11,500ft, the top holds the view of majestic Panchachuli and Nanda kot peaks. Have Lunch at the Top and stay the night.

Day 4 – Have breakfast and trek down. Reach the base camp and leave for a place called Birthi. Another Himalayan wonder, and the village where our host runs his small primary school. Birthi is known for a beautiful waterfall and serene weather. Visit the waterfall and proceed to visit the Primary school. Interact with the children and learn about the education system of a small Himalayan Village. It could be a great opportunity for students to understand adversity of mountains. A painting competition can be arranged. As the day ends, come back to the Hotel.

Day 5 – The day is to relax completely and let the Himalayas catch on with you. Visit our Host’s humble abode for Lunch today and see his village and hear stories about the ancient Mughal influence in the mountains. Learn the Himalayan history and make memories only to come back and visit the friends you made in the mountains again one day!

Day 6 – Leave for Kathgodam to catch the train for Delhi and reach Delhi.
